Bug #97725
openSuboptimal button alignment in "close without save" dialog for german language
0%
Description
When editors create or edit content, TYPO3 shows a modal if the user forgot to save the changes. When the backend language is english, the modal dialog shows 3 buttons in a row as shown below.
When the backend language is english, the size of the 3 buttons exceed the maximum width of the modal dialog resulting in the "Speichern und schließen" button being repositioned as shown below.
This suboptimal button alignment may lead to that editors accidentally choose the "Ja, meine Änderungen verwerfen" button resulting in changes being lost.
I suggest, that the button texts will be renamed as following:
- "No, I will continue editing" => "Continue editing"
- "Yes, discard my changes" => "Discard changes"
This will shorten translations for the buttons and may possible provide a better user experience for the modal dialog in general.

I agree that the wording of these (and other) buttons should be really recondidered.
I'd make them even shorter
"No, I will continue editing" => "Cancel" "Yes, discard my changes" => "Discard"
