Preview is not working for Records

Description
Having configured the TCEMAIN.preview the link for the "View" Button is correctly generated.
If copied&paste from here, the preview opens correctly.
However, once the button is clicked directly:
1) a new tab with the main start page is opened
2) In the backend the href loses the path and the link points to the start page
Tested in FF and Chrome.
Tested with tx_news and own extension records.
Preview for pages and Content Elements work correctly and are not affected.
Expected behavior:
clicking the "view" button will open the already present href link
Actual behavior:
1) Button loses href path after the domain
2) Opened Tab loads the homepage

Same here! If you use Right click -> Open in new tab, everything works, but if you just click the preview button, what you describe happens.

This is a de facto-duplicate of #96667 and solved with the change attached to this issue.
