As a follow up to #103783 one could now use the information from backend_layout / PageLayout to get additional properties next to "colPos", to define the default rendering for a colPos:

• "slideMode" - if no content exists in a colPos, should TYPO3 look in the parent page(s) for content?
• How should we make the "column" more speaking? we introduce an "identifier".

The benefit is that even the Page Module could render the info in the Backend.

Then, we could actually populate the page automatically with the right content.
