0%
Description
The Path to a page with an error is very hard to read if you have search engine optimised page titles.
Solution:
use nav_title if there is one, if not use the title
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a page with a very long page title
- enter some text with a link to a not existing page
- start the linkvalidator
- See a path link this Welcome to bla bla, Product1 product2 Keyword, special keyword, an extralong keyword/page2/

Sorry henrik,
we can't patch class.t3lib_befunc.php in the linkvalidator project.
You will have to see with the core team if this is an option they want to add in the core because if we apply your patch it will not only affect linkvalidator but every single module who use this function.
We will wait and see their anwser, if they dont wont this feature in the core, maybe we'll add it only for linkvalidator.

In my eyes you should use the keyword meta tag or something like that to put your keywords there. IMO putting them into the page title is kind of abusing the title.
In other places inside the BE - most prominently in the page tree - you also get the title displayed and not the nav_title.
So I would say - also in linkvalidator - we should therefore keep the title there.

I would like to, but I can't. I think you must make me co-leader to be able to do so.
