Bug #14446

Japanese Content isn't appearing correct

TYPO3 Version:
3.5.0 final
Description
Frontend is fine, but in BE japanese content appears like this: 場合のみコ
(issue imported from #M597)
I don't think that TYPO3 3.5 is meant to work with Japanese. Or at least many of the i18n-stuff was addes in 3.6. So I recommend upgrading to recent version which is 3.7.
Please report if it works for you after the upgrade. For 3.5 this bug will be closed as "no fix".
Updated to Version Typo 3.7 and it's still not working!
What is your charset (meta-tag) in FE? What is your charset in the DB? What is your setting of forceCharset? What language does your BE user use?
I think this might be a setup problem.
But if the entities really have no # between & and the number then really something went wrong.
@Martin Kutschker: This mantis bugtracker just doesn't display the "#" there.
Anyway, as far as I see, this is not a bug but problem that should be discussed in the mailing list. There are other Japanese TYPO3 sites working fine on 3.7, so it seems to be some misconfiguration here.
