is there any information that would fit into this module as a kind of surplus?
eg.
"Thanks to"
"Goto Homepage"
"Env / Server Infos of current installation" (security issue?)

Hi,
I think the server/env infos shouldn't be displayed there, as the about module is available for all BE users. Maybe "thanks to" is a nice area, where the core developers / people with major contributions could be listed. But that is not needed I think, if would be an added benefit as you already said - not really needed and I don't know what other core devs say about this.

Something like that? please see latest screenshot.
The "Installed Extensions" part could be "Admin-Only". More or less useless but I like it ;)
