DB-Mounts from Workspaces and BE-User-Administration
Added by Peter Niederlag about 19 years ago.
Updated almost 11 years ago.
Description
- The BE-User-Administration/Compare User Settings contains a "webmounts" summary.
- User-Workspaces can contain extra Webmounts, which will then be accessible to the Users, that are assigned to this User-Workspace
I'd like to see the BE-User-Administration reflect webmounts from User-Workspaces also. Very nice if it would contain a short notice (mount from WS) also.
It just confused me very much, since I forgot about the created User-Workspaces and it took me some time to find out why my users had a webmount, which I thought I hadn't assigned to them.

Hi Peter,
I understand your confusion. But first of all the Workspace webmount has to be within that of the user accessing the workspace. So I think the more confusing scenario might be when a user enters the workspace but has no webmount because it was defined to a page outside their allowed webmounts.
The "webmount" entry in the User Admin module must contain the actual webmounts of users.
But it would be nice to have a column showing which workspaces a user is a member of!
I will take a look at that..
I introduced a category in Tools > User Admin that will allow you to see which workspaces a user is a member of including which webmounts of the workspace he might not be able to access. It does not show the mounts if workspaces though - that information logically belongs somewhere else. (not related to the user as such)
