Description
Hi,
I can't login as BE_USER by using IE 6.0.29, Win XP, SP2. Login to t3 3.8 is still possible with the same browser and settings.
Kind regards
Stefan

I am not sure where this issue comes from... And it works here without any problems. Is it possible for you to debug the problem?
Greets, Sebastian
Do you get a " username/password wrong" error or does simply nothing happen? Did you update your database (Install tool - database - compare)?
Greets, Sebastian
Have tried to login with a BE user and same IE 6.0.29, Win XP, SP2, and could login with no problems in the BE.
Regards,
Jesús H.
Same on my side. Cant login with IE.
But Firefox works fine.
i tried the following but still no login:
$TYPO3_CONF_VARS['BE']['lockIP'] = 0;
$TYPO3_CONF_VARS["BE"]["enabledBeUserIPLock"] = 0;
Works fine for me (IE 6.0.2800.1106, SP1, Crossover Pro)...
Hmmm, does it work with other browsers at the same time?
Yes it works on every other browser.
We updated an existing project to typo3 4.0. At this project the login works on IE.
But it doesnt work on a totaly new typo3 4.0 installation.
Dooooh.
My problem with login on IE is fixed.
The subdomain wich calls ''akademy_typo3.boros.de" doesnt let me login with IE.
The subdomain "akademytypo3.boros.de" works.
So maybe on my site the underscore was the probem. I dont know why, but now it works fine.
Yes, had the dame problem like CarstenBausW in TYPO3 4.0beta3, our domain was with an underscore too (typo3_4.intra.....de) and i had problems to login with ie 6.0 too...
i changed vhost and names in typo3-4 instead of typo3_4 and now it works ! :-) CarstenBausW for tip, although i normaly use the fox.
Seems like the problem is solved. Underscore characters are not allowed in host names and therefore TYPO3 didn't accept them for login.
