Description
Any ideas why the pagecontent text field is 25 lines high with RTE enabled but only rows="5" high by default without the RTE.
When you look at the BE as a whole and see how much area is actually devoted to typing in new content, It is tiny, Less than 10% of the screen.
1) Consider a % width for the text area instead of the coded width: 460px;
2) Consider a height of at least rows="20" by default.

This is related to #20946.
Since TYPO3 4.3 you can use the module User Settings to make text areas flexible so that they can be made bigger easily.
I think this issue can therefore be closed.
