Description

I figured it out with IE. Have not tested it with another browser.

I have build a system with a top menu and a sub menu.
the top menu shows only the level one pages and the sub menu starts from level 2.

When I now click the top level menu the first time, typo always opened a new window. But in this new window I can click any top or sub menu without creating a new window.

On the start page, I have used menu/sitemap. If I click any link there, it will opened into the same window. But if I click a link in the top menu, a new window will be opened. But then all links will be displayed into the same window.

The top menu is done with IMGMENU.

Is this an error or an undocumented feature? :-)

Sorry, but I have explanation for it!

Regards,
Hans-Georg.

You can test it under typo.althoff-fam.de

The links in your menu all have the parameter "target" set to "_left", but this value doesn't exist in HTML. Just find it in your setup and replace it with _top or _self.

A good thing to look for are the TS-constants PAGE_TARGET or content.pageFrameObj or the setup-values config.intTarget or config.extTarget. Or you have set the parameter .target within your HMENU-definition.

Doesn't look like a TYPO3-bug...
