Feature Request - Add functionality to easily position new / move around already existing repetitive data objects in FCEs

Description
When managing content in FCEs with a large number of repetitive data objects, it becomes rather time consuming to move objects(rows) up/down. Also, when adding a new object(row), it gets always added at the bottom, rather than letting the user to choose the positon in relation with the already existing objects(rows).
Is it possible to add some kind of functionaality, which would allow to choose an exact position of newly added/currently moving object (row)? For instance it could be done in the same way as when moving entire content elements in TV (when it displays a placing icon at all positions available and the element is placed on the position chosen by user).

This is about TCEForms and rendering sections inside them. Moving to CORE.

As this report is very old, is the handling in newer TYPO3 CMS Versions (like 6.0/6.1) more like you expect it?
