Hi Steffen,

Currently I'm working on the docheaders, BT reference: http://bugs.typo3.org/view.php?id=7262

In the 'Page' and some other modules the icons for 'new record' and 'new page' are put at the left side and are very close to the 'new page' icon at the top of the page tree.

Ingo and Jens gave me some improvements for the placement of the icons and I've adapted the icons to their remarks.

Is it possible to move the icon to the right, next to the csh icon? (look at screenshot, but left is right :-)

Another thing, which can be done later, is to have the same styling for the top of the page tree and the docheaders. :-)

• let's just remove the create page icon from the tree...
• Patrick, could you please swap the creat page and create content icon?
• Steffen, I agree with Patrick; it would be cool to have the tree extend the docheader (have a look at EXT:modern_skin - I don't know though whether it still fits to the current css), maybe we also need to tweak border.html

Do we actually need border.html?

When the tree extends the docheader, the scrollbar of the tree has to move down as well, so the top always stays where it is, like with the docheader. Otherwise the vertical scrollbar will break the extended docheader.

if we do not fix border.html we'd have a gap I think. anyways that should be quite easy

I would like the "New" Icon as this is a proposal from benni, and Olly Jeff and others where excited about, i personal like it too. I will move it to the "left" today.

Styling of Pagetree header, i would not use same like docheaders: they show you are in edit mode, pagetree isn't in any edit mode.

the border.html should be removed anyway. First it's a bad style, second it will break when your server is open for shorttags as it starts with xml prolog.

xml prologue is just gone =)

as soon as the page module and others also get the docheader, there's no more "edit" mode

IMHO the "New" icon is somewhat really important. Almost 90% of my editors ask for this feature and since we're cleaning this area, why not add this useful link?

ok, here comes the new patch with docheader.
(pageTree_with_docheader.diff)

As the getHtmlTemplate is not comitted yet, i included this as copy from Patrick.
I improved CSS and made it also work with IE.

ok, after Patricks docheader are committed i reworked my one for the page tree

I uploaded new patch pageTree_with_docheader2.diff
please alos use search_bubble.png for transparent background

i had to change the arrow, now comes from css.
i uploaded new version, Patrick wants to modify it to have scrollbar below.
