The following would make life easier for authors when editing tables:
- allow all table properties in the table creation dialogue window;
- allow to remove fieldsets and specific fields in each dialogue window;
- allow to define some default values;
- make selector lists configurable;
- make it easier and less error-prone to define the general layout of headers, changing row/clumn cells from data to header and vice versa;
- add a column properties dialogue in order to change the properties of all cells in a column;
- use classes to set float and alignment properties;
- make it possible to configure classes for odd/even styling of rows and/or columns.

The patch also extends the plugin API so that it may be used by the Table Operations and TYPO3 Color plugins.
