After upgrading to 4.2.8 using fantastico, be-user login "expires" after each attempted save in flexform, no data saved

Description

I used fantastico to upgrade my typo3 installation to 4.2.8, which worked fine after going through the upgrade wizard.
Now however, when I use the flexform in the backend for extensions, template, user admin etc... every time i click save the message (Your login has probably expired). When I click "OK" the login box comes up showing that I am logged in, however if I click cancel, it will save.

If the information I appended is from a selector box (starting point, etc...) it's fine, if I enter keyed information into a text field, it disappears upon save.

Does anyone have any ideas?
