Bug #21611
closed
After install of feeditadvanced show page method does not work in firefox 3.5.5 in backend.
Added by Dennis Shewmaker over 14 years ago.
Updated over 5 years ago.
Description
It works in IE 8.0.6001.18702, but not in FF 3.5.5.
Clicking on show page from page tree or content view does not do anything in FF.
No errors are visible.

Thanks Christopher.
I figured it out. I had another TYPO3 session open in another browser and it opened up the view in the minimized FF instance with no feedback so I didn't know it happened. The behaviour was different in IE.
So this doesn't look to be an issue with the front end editing, but might be an improvement on the core code to redirect focus to the new page.
One question: Are you sure you are in the FE when clicking on "show page" from page tree?
Where do you have this option?
The new FE-editing uses a lightbox to display content. This comes up above the page you are viewing and you still see that paged below the black mask.
I think the new FE-editing should not open a popup or use another browser window.
It was in the backend I mistyped.
So this bug has nothing to do with feeditadvanced.
The option "page tree" > "show page" always opened a new tab or a new window.
Which of the two is a configuration question in Firefox.
If you then have another tab (or window), which was opened by this function some time ago, and if you then click on "page tree" > "show page" again, this tab (or window) will be used again.
There is not much TYPO3 could do to change that...
Dennis, thus this is not a bug at all of TYPO3? Correct?
