Works for me using TYPO3 branch 4.3, rev. 6908

Maybe you have invalid parameters in plugin.tx_felogin_pi1.dateFormat?
I use:
plugin.tx_felogin_pi1.dateFormat = d.M. Y, h:i

And maybe updating your translations in the extension manager helps.

I don't set plugin.tx_felogin_pi1.dateFormat. When I set it like your example it works. Maybe this should be a default configuration?

There is a default config in ext_typoscript_setup.txt:
dateFormat = Y-m-d H:i

So it should be working without any config.

I can't find a "Static Template from Extension" and I think the default config does'nt load automatically. In the Typoscript Object Browser I can't find the entry plugin.tx_felogin_pi1.dateFormat = d.M. Y, h:i

I have to copy the default config from ext_typoscript_setup.txt in my template. Right?

There's no "static template from ext". The TS template from ext_typoscript_setup.txt should be loaded automatically when the extension is installed. Also no copying should be neccessary.

Try to uninstall and install the extension. TypoScript should be loaded.
