In relation to feature 13998 which is currently in the core list and should make it to 4.4, rtehtmlarea needs to include calls to the t3lib_div::createVersionNumberedFile function to make JS and CSS files in rtehtmlarea automatically re-cached by browsers.

I have looked into the source of rtehtmlarea in order to include these calls in my own patch for 13998, but my knowledge of the code for the rte is far too low to ensure no new bugs is introduced, which is why I am opening this BT - this way hopefully Stanislas can look into this :)
