Cache cannot be cleared in IE8

Description
When you clear the cache in IE8 using the menu in the toolbar, the icon disappears and a JS error occurs. The cache is not cleared.

I can confirm this, too. The JS error is:

Can confirm this too.
It seems like the bottom doesn´t work at all (no cache is cleared).

Ah, really? Did only see the effect, but didn't have a look, whether the cache was really cleared.
I already worked a bit on this, but wasn't able to solve it with Prototype. Next step would be to try with ExtJS
