Bug #23068
closedMissing "modify image" dialog in HTMLArea 2.0.2
0%
Description
I have enabled images in HTMLArea. There is no problem inserting an image, for example in "New Magic Image" mode.
Now, in older versions of HTMLArea, when I then mark the image, do a right-click on it and select "modify image" from the context menu, I get a form where I can enter width or height or select one of my custom classes. In this version, I do not get the form. I only get the "New Magic Image" view, where I can select another image.
Also, when marking the image, my custom CSS-classes do not appear in the select box "Block style", like they did in older versions.
I am using TYPO3 4.4.0, RTE HTMLArea 2.0.2. Problem appears in IE8 and FF 3.6.6

Even in 4.3, I think it may depend on how you try to select the image. If you just click on the image and then right click, you should get the "Current image" tab. If you try to select the image with the mouse, you may be selecting more than just the image. In such case, the "Current image" tab is not enabled. You can monitor what is actually selected by looking at the status bar.

I have tested it again with another installation of TYPO3 4.4, but I get the same result. I can not see the "Current image" tab. I am sure that only the image is selected. The status bar shows "body > p > img". Even if I click on that "img" link in the status bar and thus select the image, there is no "Current image" or "Modify image" link in the context menu. It works with TYPO3 4.3, though. Do you want me to provide a demo installation on my server?

For the record: problem was fixed by clearing the RTE cache.
