Umlauts in IRRE

Description
TYPO3 4.4.1 doesn't save umlauts correctly in inline elements if [BE][forceCharset] is NOT set to "utf-8". Tested with several extensions (i.e. icebox) and on several installations. Downgrade to 4.3.4 solves the problem.

Hi Michael, did it work with TYPO3 4.4.0 or did you experience the same behaviour there as well?

Hi together,
I can confirm Michaels problems with umlauts and IRRE on 4.4.1 AND on 4.4.0.
To my sorrow, these problems occur with my own extension-develpments als well as with others (and I have no clue why...yet!)
Everything's fine between > 4.2.10 AND < 4.4.0

I didn't find any solution so far...

I've created also a bugreport about this issue.
applied a patch for it. But I'm not sure if this is the right solution, for me it's working.
