Bug #23703

Wrong URLs are not redirected to a 404 page
Added by Dimitri Koenig about 14 years ago.
Updated over 10 years ago.
Description
If i go the to page www.test.com/asd I won't be redirected to my 404 page. If i append a slash at the and, like asd/ the page will be recognized as notfound and i get a redirect to my 404 page.
This behavior started with 4.4.x. In 4.3.x it works.
Deinstalling realurl has no effect on this bug.
Any ideas?

Hi,
as this issue is very old. Does the problem still exists within newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (4.5 or 6.1)?
It sounds like the htaccess was changed with the update.
Nope, still the same, even with TYPO3 4.5 and a fresh .htaccess, wether the one from 4.5 or the current trunk version.
So, what do you get as page for "www.test.com/asd" (the one without the slash)? And what do you get for "www.test.com/asd.html"?
Anyway by default the Browser should add this last "/", so what browser did you use?
