Display page title instead of "Pagecontent"
Added by Steffen Gebert about 14 years ago.
Updated about 7 years ago.
Description
Page module shows as headline "Pagecontent", although it would be more informative to show the page's title.

I agree, Pagecontent is not helpful at all. But with pagetitle it would be double because of the path upper right.
I suggest to move the page path to this place replacing pagecontent.
This change is too big to be tackled in time for 4.5. We'll have to postpone it to 4.6.
Basically I like the idea:
1) Get rid of currently selected page name from the rootline / path in the docheader (making it shorter)
2) Having the current page name as the first headline in the current module.
The problem with 2) is that every BE-module renders this as they like. We can change it in the core modules, but extensions still do what they want. So a generic solution / nice API would be required, and lots of testing with different extensions / modules.

- Target version changed from 4.6.0 to 4.6.1
- Target version changed from 4.6.1 to 4.7.0
- TYPO3 Version changed from 4.5 to 4.7
That's a decision by the Usability Team, so I keep this on the road map for 4.7
