Description
after update TYPO3 to 4.5 password recovery is not possible,
this line is form BE Log:

set in INSTALL TOOL
[MAIL][substituteOldMailAPI] = 0

Which email address(es) failed? The recipient(s) or the sender or the reply-to? Can you give the format of those addresses and the corresponding name (if necessary modified but with the same structure: change '"Mel Gibson" <mel.gibson@movies.co.au>' into '"My Name" <my.name@domain.co.uk>' for example). Did any parts of the address/name contain special characters, punctuation marks, etc.?

I can't reproduce it today, it was a long time ago,
I don't know what was changed from that time.
