Selecting Copy from context menu does not reload page and Clipboard remains empty

Description
If you use the context menu to select copy on a content element, there is no indication that you did copy that content element.
Sometimes even the context menu is not deactivated.
The state is saved right, because when you open the context menu again or reload the page, paste icons are shown and the item is shown in Clipboard.
There are no JS errors in Chromium or Firefox.
Using the icons showing after checking Extended view works fine.
e.g. in Introduction Package:
1. go to list module
2. go to page "About TYPO3"
3. activate Clipboard (do not show extended view, but does not matter)
4. open context menu of first content element and click Copy
5. Nothing visually happens
6. Click on the page again (page tree), forcing reload and see that copy was selected
