Filemount should be able to mount folder on PATH_site

Description

It would be nice to have an third option beside "absolute (root)" and "relative ../fileadmin/" to mount directories out of the PATH_site.

The new option could be called "pathsite (webroot) " and accept path like "images". The result ends up into "PATH_site . 'images/"

Hi,

as this issue is very old. Is this feature missing in newer versions of TYPO3 CMS (6.2.9)?
If yes, can you provide a newer patch against master by using Gerrit? http://wiki.typo3.org/CWT

Hey Mick,

this is now possible with FAL. You create a storage outside of the PATH_site folder and then create a filemount with a selectable folder. If not available to the public you need a 3rd-party-FAL driver, but I think ther are some extensions in the TER already.
