This is one of the result of our performance meeting today. You may want to completely disable CSH for complete installation, so you have a reduction of ajax requests.

Also there were many complains about the non-existing setting. And i think we should listen to our users, if they want this setting back i see no real reason not fulfilling it.

I don't see the "complaints" anymore. They were just there while the CSH layout was very ugly during our beta-phase. Since release I've never heard of anyone being annoying by it. Most people "love it".

If it too slow, make an option to load the information inline with the page (instead of through AJAX) like it was before. It was not slow at all. Having the option to turn it off just because it is slow in certain scenarios is the wrong approach in my opinion.

To repeat myself from the past: Have you seen any software with an option to turn tooltips "off"? We should get rid of those silly options instead of adding (or re-adding) more.

The latest complains were done in german list, and i got some private complains.

You are right that you don't see that in other software, but i have to admit that it nerves me sometimes too as you have no chance in forms to move around the labels, the csh action zone is right in the form action zone, and this is something i don't know from other software. So i think there is indeed a value set for this wish.

Why was it rejected?

We also have users who are annoyed by the pop ups. (Inlcuding me).

Why does it hurt to add this setting?
