Unfortunately, the error message in the "forgot password" display mode of felogin are not wrapped in "errorMessage_stdWrap" which prevents one from styling them as an error message. I'm aware that it is possible to add a container in the locallang data, but that is more of a workaround considering that the necessary property already exists and is used to some extent.
