Description
We're running our own private TER server. We've installed TYPO3 4.6 beta3. On the settings tab of the new Ext Manager we've selected our TER library. The EM is able to receive the mirrors.xml.gz file but doesn't save it properly. We've checked the corresponding function settingsFormSubmit() in class.tx_em_connection_extdirectserver.php. Please see our attatched diff. We've just added the mirrors in order to store them in the DB.

4.6 isn't supported any more. And this won't get fixed any more, see last comment in #25387
