Description

in Feature #17406 , the suggestion is to use "external url" . This may work short-term, but is bad on the long term since if you change the page number, this most likely won't be reflected in an "external url", so the cms benefit of managing the page numbers for you is gone :( .

Thanks for your issue! However this field would not make sense for any other scenario I can think of because normal pages are regular internal links. If you need to have the target configurable via UI, please use a custom extension, adding the field for the page type and check it while building the menu.

if you need help there, please ask at http://forum.typo3.org/
