Description

Currently, after a successful install of TYPO3 you get an ugly exception or a bit nicer error message of missing pages at the rootlevel.

Would be good to have a nice welcome message instead, stating that everything is fine, but only pages are missing so that nothing can be shown.
Also a short text that states what the next (simple) steps are would be nice.

Hi,

I would like to combine this with a Marketing-Concept
to attract more developers today and in the future.

The "Page of Fame" (like "Walk of Fame") but without the walk :)

I would expect following content on this single page:

  • TYPO3 Version
  • TYPO3 Version Mission abstract (Release Introduction)
  • Persons involved in this Release
    • Release Manager
    • Teams involved (Forge Backlinks)
    • Individuals
  • Agencys activly involved in this Release
    • Hosting a Sprint
    • Donations detecated to the release
    • Supporting a Developer who contributed code while is regualar worktime
  • TYPO3 Version Changelog (Maybe backlink to the news).

Maybe it helps this release - but I'm sure it helps the future release
to motivate more developers and agencys to contribute there time!
As we do it all for the fame and this would be a nice way for this goal.

What do you think? :)

What do you think? :)

I love the idea. If you think that it is realistic to have a design for that until the final release in October, I'm going to take care of the communication about it.

I would go for something very simple.

It should stay timeless and should be easy to be reused.
At the same time I don't like to blow up the Package with
graphics. Maybe (if it gets visuall) we can embed all Img.
as Base64 URLs in the Css.

How do we get the texts edited and the styling created and the mission statements collected.
Three teams, who starts and who manages the communication?

a similar thing can be achieved with the 'create empty page' from the install tool during first install in case someone wants something barely useful as start.
