Description

Request applies to the following files:

/typo3/sysext/cms/tslib/media/scripts/tmenu_layers.php
/typo3/sysext/cms/tslib/media/scripts/gmenu_layers.php

Search for the following text: style="width:100%;height:100%;"

Please remove this. In horizontally oriented menus, menu items with variable width and styled with a float:left; are displayed vertically (on top of each other) in some browsers, due to this width:100%; thing.

Hi Ronald,

unfortunately we cannot introduce new features in 4.5. Furthermore this is also not a bugfix, since changing this would definitely break existing installations.

We can only file this as a feature/task for 6.0.

Markus

We should remove those menus altogether (maybe move it into an extension) and drop support for anything but TMENU and GMENU.

With the powers of modern CSS, it is just a waste of time debugging and fixing this for all browsers.

  • Status changed from New to Rejected

With 6.1 issue #46358, the _layers menues where moved to statictemplates, and statictemplates was removed from core afterwards.
