Not able to add new element in section

Description
In an TYPO3 4.5.26 Installation with templavoila 1.8.0 I had an FCE with sections. Now I'm not able to add a new element. When I click on the link add new element nothing happens - firebug says: TypeError: null has no properties.

Your user is an admin or are you using an user with an access control list (ACL)?

Isn't it a TemplaVoila bug rather than a Core bug?

That's what I thought first. So I opened a bugreport for templavoila (http://forge.typo3.org/issues/46757) which was closed with the information: "From your description - this is the misbehaviour of the flexform sections which are part of the TYPO3 Core."
I'm not sure which part of TYPO3 CMS the problem causes.

Hello,
i have the same problem with TYPO3 version 4.5.31 and TemplaVoila 1.8.0. But: Inside the section I used an element type "selector box", i deleted this element and now i can add new entries using "add new". Same if i create a new FCE with at least one element type "selector box". The new FCE works until i changed the items in the Data Structure XML for the selector box list. Changing the items in the Data Structure XML produces the same error, i can't add a new entry using the "add new" button. Perhaps there is a problem with the "selector box" and TemplaVoila?

Hello,
same problem but an additional hint:
When the Backend is used in the german language I can't use the "add new/Neu hinzufügen" Button. If I switch the backend language into english, everything works fine. Updating the languages has no effect.
TYPO3 4.5.32 (same with 4.5.27)

I found the reason of the problem: It's a charset problem.
I set the TYPO3 4.5.32 to utf-8 and then everything works fine.
It looks like the german label "Neu hinzufügen" causes the error when using TYPO3 in ISO charsets.
