On typo3 v6.1, in the Web>list view in the backend interface, the search function doesn't return results from every tables.
It would seem that it doesn't look into tables from third-party extensions (tt_news records for example).
It works well to search records from core tables such as : pages, be_users, filemounts, etc... but returns nothing from tables such as tt_news, jk_poll, etc..
That feature used to work well (i just migrated from typo3 4.5, where it worked fine), that's why it looks like a bug to me.
For example, that problem makes the extension "AOE linkhandler" unusable.
Maybe it is not a bug, and I have to configure "searchable tables" for the recordlist extension, but I didn't find such a setting (nor have I found anyone talking about that problem); in that case please excuse this irrelevant bug report (and please can you explain how to add tables in the search scope)

My bad, it is not a bug, it is a modified feature.
Since 4.6, the 'ctrl' section of TCA is extended with a new option: 'searchFields', as indicated here : http://wiki.typo3.org/TYPO3_4.6.0#Live_Search
I'm sorry, please someone closes or deletes this irrelevant report.
