Description

The selector field for the localization pointer of content elements (tt_content.l18n_parent) can become quite unhandy, if the header is too long. Another side effect is, that there's a fallback to the fields subheader, bodytext.

See attached screenshot (selectField.png)

Maybe a max-width could be sufficient.
It could be wise to see if the same error (a dropdown that becomes too wide due to the text inside) occurs elsewhere.

I was not able to test it with 7 (see https://forge.typo3.org/issues/67866)

[UPDATE] in 7.4-dev this bug is absent (see attached screenshot: the select auto-adapts its width)

Since only critical bugs and security patches are going into 6.2 at this point, I'll close it (it works fine since 7.4 as I wrote).

If you think this is the wrong decision, then let us know (on Slack for example - https://typo3.slack.com/ ) or open a new ticket and add a relation to this ticket number.
Thank you
