Resizing images with imagemagick/graphicsmagick requires a lot of resources, therefore it might be too heavy for a server to handle an unlimited amount of such requests. It would be nice if the number of parallel calls to im/gm can be limited, blocking only the operations that also need im/gm. This ensures that pages without images still load quickly, even when many pages with images are being requested at the same time.
