Hi Pierre,
is it possible that the protocol changes between the FE and te BE?
In that case your cookies get lost (which is a good thing), thus the FE does not know you are logged in.
In my specific case. I'm in HTTPS in FE and BE (so same protocol).
As your headline tells something different.
You try to view a hidden page via HTTPS while you are logged into BE via HTTPS?
That's right. I think that when the backend is in https the frontend is not "previewable" in http nor in https.

If you are logged into BE via HTTPS then you haven't a cookie in http context.
In HTTP: Site isn't viewed.
In HTTPS: Site is viewed (as you are logged in).
So I don't understand your issue till yet.
It's pretty strange. I just re-test it and it works, I guess it was corrected in an update or somewhat my configuration has changed.
We can close this ticket.
Thank you
