Description
During the T3UXW we discussed problems occuring for newbies in TYPO3 during the installation of old TYPO3 extensions, which might work with CMS7, but need the compat layer.
During the discussion the following solution was developed:
Given:- unmodified installed CMS 7.x
- requirements meat
- open EM
- select "Get Extensions"
- search f.e. realurl
- hit install
- get the message, that there is a problem installing the extension
- if extensions with dependencies below 7.x are installed, if so suggest to add ext:compat6 with a prechecked checbox
- link the article describing ext:compat6
- newbies will be able to just install them and it will "Just work" in most cases
- Pro's can unselect the checkbox and have the old behaviour
- the installation will most times not harm your installation
- Automatic speed decrease
- possible some more clicks for Pro's

After discussing in Slack, this change is very controversal. I'm working on an opt-in to unlock the install button instead.
