Description

Hello,
I'm workling with 6.2.12

1. If I have a photo inserted, I can not simply replace this image, but must always insert a new one, with all text insertions etc. This causes additional steps in the workflow.

It would be great, just to replace the existing picture with a new one and keep all text in title text, alternate text, link and description as before in Version 4.5

2. If I insert a new picture, I have to activate title text, alternate text, link and description with a little hook. I have to do this with each and every picture. So I have a lot to do by implementing lot of pictures.

It would be great, to activate these hooks in advance, so I have to do it only ones for the next e.g. 50 pictures.

Hope, my English isn't so bad.
regards
Peter

Hi, I know this is not a solution for you but could you try how 7.4 works out for you? The replacing feature was build in now into version 7

I have performed the following test with TYPO3 7.6.1-dev (latest master)

1) Filelist module > I upload a file called "prova.jpg" and edit its fields: "title", "description", "keywords", "alt text"
2) I use it on a Textmedia content element
3) Filelist module > I upload now in the same folder a different file with the same name "prova.jpg"
4) a modal dialog asks me if I want to overwrite the original one, or skip it or rename it; I choose "overwrite"
5) the only thing I noticed is that the list is not updated automatically but clicking on the reload icon does the job
6) editing the data of the prova.jpg shows that all the informations (title, description, etc.) have been kept.
7) on the frontend, the file is replaced with the new one.

Is it sufficient to consider this closed, or should I perform a different test? Thank you!
