Description

With the current implementation, 1 AJAX call = 1 Extension = 1 Language, I have following figures for my local install:

  • 1 AJAX call takes about 3 second to complete
  • Going through every extension for 1 language takes 84 AJAX calls and 5 minutes

A quick test shows that when updating 5 instead of 1 extension per AJAX call, I get following figures:

  • 18 AJAX calls for all extensions, for German, about 1 minute and 12 seconds
  • Between 3.6 and 5.6 seconds per AJAX call

Another test, updating now 10 extensions per AJAX call, gives following figures:

  • 9 AJAX calls for all extensions, for German, about 45 seconds
  • Updating German and French now takes less than 2 minutes instead of 9-10
