I will confirm this behavior: Under Typo3 6.2 and 7.4 the rte won't work with the edge browser (same behavior as marcel has described).
I don't know, if this issue is caused by the rte or by the edge browser (I use the edge browser very often, and currently I have only three issues with the edge).

Come on guys!
We all have clients that use Edge.
I know we all hate it but we need to support it if we want to be an Enterprise CMS.

I can confirm the problem with the actual EDGE browser Version 25.10586.00: The RTE Editor can not be used for editing text in a TYPO3 version 6.2.17 with Windows 10. This should be not a "should have" but a "Must have".
