Description

Scenario
Create a DCE with images as FAL and limit number of images via maxitems.

Problem
After reaching the limit of maxitems the editor is not getting any feedback.
The "add image" button is still there. The button works. An image can be selected.
But it does not appear after adding.

Solution
Hide or disable the button after the limit is reached and add some info like "Limit reached. You cannot add more items".

Remark
I think this is a core feature and therefore a core bug and not a DCE-bug.

Can you give this a try with 7.6? Should be fixed there if I'm correct.

Thanks to everyone involved! It's fixed in TYPO3 CMS 7.6.5 with DCE 1.4.0.
