RTE CKEditor "required" does not get validated in flexform

Description
Hello,
we just noticed that the 'required' eval check for the "RTE (8.7)" isn't working - no matter what you fill into the ck editor, it refuses to save backend elements, see attached screenshot (TYPO3 8.7.1).
For our case we just removed the "required" attribute, but thought to report the problem anyway, as it might be more severe for others.

I've got several reports, that the new ckeditor used in flexform, has an eval required issue.
Even with content, form engine denies saving.
I think this is a core/ckeditor issue, which I can't solve in DCE.
