I want to update from Version 9.5.8 to 9.5.9.
My Steps:

1. Login to SSH to the Webserver, change the correct directory
2. Download the new Version 9.5.9 from get.typo3.org/9
3. unzip the tar.gz
4. Correct the link to new version
5. Open the /typo3/install in Webbrowser
6. Clear all Caches
7. Check for new changes - no available - Version 9.5.9
8. Check the Backend and I gets the error "Cannot use object of type stdClass as array"
9. Go back to 9.5.8
