Renaming of files allows no extension name

Description
Having an editor (or admin) renaming files in the backend; it is possible to rename "01.jpg" to "a-wonderfull-summer"
Be aware of the missing file extesnion (.jpg)
The "01.jpg" file is now "a-wonderfull-summer" and if the file is referenced to any image TCA fields the GIFBUILDER throws an error on processing.....
I have attached a litte video for demonstration...
NB: it is also possible to rename the file to "a-nice-movie.mp4" and make a reference to this 'movie' in various TCA fields only permitting .mp4
