docker-compose v2 is currently not supported.
At least on MacOS the eperimental feature "Use Docker Compose V2 release candidate"
is enabled in some cases after update.

Can you add more details and links what exactly is broken?

Docker Compose v2 is explicitly marked as experimental, so issues are to be expected:

https://docs.docker.com/compose/cli-command/

If we right out disallow users from using Compose v2 with TYPO3, neither we nor the Compose devs will get feedback about issues they encounter. So I don't think we should disallow this.
