I have not checked the other languages. I realize Welsh was recently added and does show up in Language Packs.

Can we do something about this?

P.S. Am completely sold on Jamaican, want to learn it, yu no siit?

Are we talking about Jamaican English (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamaican_English) or Jamaican Patois (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamaican_Patois)?

Also, I suggest to add this as new feature (as we did with built-in support for language in v11)

I assume Patois. The example in the introduction package looks like it, but I am of course no language expert.

What I noticed was the discrepancy of languages supported between v11 BE Language Packs and what is listed in the introduction package (for Irish and Jamaican).

  • Tracker changed from Bug to Feature
  • Subject changed from Irish and Jamaican listed in supported languages in introduction package, but not in available language packs to Add support for Irish and Jamaican Patois. (Mentioned in introduction package, but not in core available language packs)
  • Status changed from Needs Feedback to New
  • TYPO3 Version deleted (11)

To clarify: Irish and Jamaican is not in the list of supported languages:

So, this is not a bug. I am changing it to feature request.

Apart from that, I don't know if it makes sense to add support if we have no one to translate ...

So, this is actually a little misleading in the Introduction package: There, a page /content-examples/and-more/any-language-any-character is created with the following content:

After further considerations, I found that there is still the need to translate to existing, already supported languages:

Adding further languages - unless there are people ready to translate - is, I think counterproductive.

I think I went a little overboard here and would like to close this issue.
