Form Framework: Editor switching to Preview, if edit is called via Settings

Description

In Form Editor, the View switches to Preview from Edit after trying to change a field.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Create form
  • Add elements
  • go to preview mode
  • go to settings
  • select any field
  • try to change value in input

With this steps the form always switches back to preview mode instead keeping edit mode.

Reproduced in TYPO v11 and 12.

For clearer understanding I added a screen cast, which shows the behaviour in a clean v12 setup. Customer reported this from a v11.
