Alert message boxes look wrong

Description
Since the refactor of the CSS for .alert-message boxes, the whitespace of the message changes the layout because of white-space: pre-wrap
For alert messages that are not added from flash messages but in Fluid templates, whitespace could be weird.
This is the installer step 5 on current main:
