Description
The word "depreciated" is used instead of "deprecated" in the TYPO3 Ver. 3.6.0RC2.
(issue imported from #M27)
Updated by old_root old_root over 20 years ago
The word depreciated actually is a word, and means something similar.
However, you are right in that "deprecated" is in fact the better word for it.
I can confirm that this spelling mistake has made it into many many files. Perhaps a global search/replace will do?

both words seems to be quite common, deprecated being maybe the better one, dont know.
I don't think it is a bug. ;)

The "correct" word is "deprecated", but the dictionary says that "depreciated" is being used often in the sense of "deprecated". This is a recent trend.

ok, thanks masi, I think I can close the bug now.
It's time to hunt real bugs instead ;-)
