TYPO3 Core

I have installed typo3 (3.5.0 and later 3.6.2) inside my public_html directory: fx. http://www.xyz.org/~user/typo3.

When I upload images to the folder fileadmin I can see the thumbnails and checking in the filesystem the files are in place (with the right permissions). But clicking on the name of the thumbnail opens a new window with the wrong URL:

Should open: http://www.xyz.org/~user/typo3/fileadmin/gallery/gal/Dscf0004.jpg

but opens: http://sadr.xyz.org/typo3/fileadmin/gallery/gal/Dscf0004.jpg
which is not available and I get a "404 file not found".

This seems to be the same problem for the lz_gallery, which creates the thumbs but does not show them at all.

I just checked with another typo3 installation on a system of a friend where typo3 doesn't live in a public_html directory there it seems to work right.
